OPEN CALL – SPILL YER TEA
Recent world events significantly altered the way in which performance is shared and communicated. The response of Performance N’ Tha was to pause, and when many venues and performance spaces re-opened, we decided to wait; safety was our utmost priority. Collective care is a shared responsibility, yet its value is so often overlooked. After two years of being completely grounded to a halt, we are now excited to announce that we are finally back and will be sharing an in person event for our sixth instalment of SPILL YER TEA.
Performance N’ Tha is seeking proposals from five artists for the SPILL YER TEA event, which will take place on Saturday 20th August 2022 at The Tapestry in the heart of Liverpool’s Fabric District.
Performance N’ Tha centres accessibility and as such SPILL YER TEA will be interpreted into British Sign Language, venues will be disability friendly and accessible and a designated quiet space will be provided for neurodivergent individuals. In addition, we will also be asking all visitors to wear a face mask (unless exempt) to ensure those who are vulnerable can also attend and be a part of our event without feeling compromised. “We are all dependent on each other, and only by nurturing these interdependencies can we cultivate a world in which each and every one of us can not only live but thrive.” (The Care Manifesto, The Politics of Interdependence)

Performance N’ Tha is interested in hearing from performance artists at all levels of experience. We provide a warm welcoming and supportive environment for emerging and established artists and collectives and groups to share new artwork that is either ready-to-go, or is in its developmental stages.

Selected artists for SPILL YER TEA are required to be available on the 20th August 2022 for the SPILL YER TEA in-person event.

- Access support to assist you with your access needs and to ensure your work is accessible to a wide range of audiences

Performance N’ Tha is committed to making all of its opportunities accessible to artists. We are accepting proposals in a number of formats these include:
- Video (No time limit) in either BSL or English
- Written Proposal (No word limit) through Google Forms – (Click Here)
